We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our key client in Northampton.
This role would suit someone with a background as a Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 3 years' + experience. The ideal candidate will have experience designing machined components, sheet metal, steel or other metal components.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will be designing project designs for customers from concept to completion.
- Making modifications to existing designs
- Liaising with production and manufacturing to ensure designs can be created and meet project deadlines
- Undertaking shock/ vibration analysis on products
Key Attributes:
- Ideally experience designing steel fabricated, sheet metal, metal fabricated components, enclosures or similar would be preferable.
- Solidworks proficient - other CAD packages considered
- Any FEA or shock/ vibration analysis experience would be beneficial
- Any experience working in cleanroom environments would be a major advantage but not essential
