Mechanical Designer - Special Purpose Machinery Manufacturer
A leading manufacturer of bespoke machinery systems is expanding due to increased demand and new project awards. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer with AutoCAD 3D expertise for a contract role, starting in the next 2 weeks. The position is initially on-site, with potential for hybrid work in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D AutoCAD designs for material handling and automated conveyor systems.
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure designs align with production needs.
- Integrate sheet metal design and lifting mechanisms into systems.
- Apply knowledge of sensor placement and motion cabling for automation.
- Optimise designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D.
- Experience in sheet metal design and lifting equipment.
- Knowledge of automation systems (sensor placement, motion cabling).
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams.
- Willingness to work on-site, with the option for hybrid work in the future.
