Process Engineer

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our growing client in Rugby with a knowledge of Chemical Processes.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' + experience in a Process Engineering or similar role with experience in a heavy industrial environment ideally Cement, Concrete, Mining, Quarrying, Oil & Gas etc.

Site based on Rugby Plant but with some travel to other company Plants

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the process engineering and continuous improvement activities for Rugby Plant, Tilbury grinding plant and associated quarries taking into account changes in the business, environment, safety, legislation, and best practice from Cement and other process industries.
  • Perform key equipment inspections, audits as outlined by the UK Cement operations Process plan.
  • The Process and CI Engineer is responsible for conducting equipment audits, sampling of key material streams in the circuit, measurement of air flows, performing necessary tests on samples, calculations, and when required, final report generation.
  • Implement lean projects aiming at improving safety and operational KPIs, using lean tools: SMED, VSM, RCA, Process Capability and Kaizen.

Key Attributes:

  • 5 years + experience in a Process Engineering role or similar with a background ideally working in Cement, Aggregates, Mining, Quarrying or similar
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certificate
  • A strong foundation in engineering principles, an in-depth understanding of chemical processes, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
