Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement For The Year Ending 31 December 2023
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2023 for Roc Search Limited (“Roc Search”) and has been approved by the board of directors.
Our Structure
Roc Search is an international provider of recruitment agency and recruitment business services in the IT, Public Sector, technology and engineering sectors. The business operates across the UK, Germany and the USA. Our registered office is The White Building, 33 Kings Road, Reading, RG1 3AR.
Supply chain
As a service provider, our supply chains are limited to those individuals and organisations which provide us with the goods and services needed to operate our business, such as IT hardware, software and telecommunications; vehicles; office furniture, equipment and supplies; utilities; travel services; and training services. There is, therefore, limited scope for slavery and human trafficking to take place in our business or supply chain.
Anti-Slavery Policy
Our Anti-Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains. We also have policies on Grievance and Disciplinary and Equality and Diversity.
Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we have taken the following steps.
When assessing risk, we consider:
- Country risk - whilst we do not operate in countries that are assessed as being vulnerable to slavery and human trafficking, we will take this into consideration in supply chain relationships
- Sector or industry risk - which parts of the business may be more vulnerable than others to slavery and human trafficking.
- Business or transaction risk - whether particular relationships or transactions are susceptible to a higher risk of slavery and human trafficking.
After reaching the conclusion that there is a low level of risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain, we have taken effective measures to mitigate any current or potential future risk within our business. Some of these measures include:
- The creation of an internal Anti-Slavery policy.
- An adequate grievance mechanism to ensure that concerns are raised and actual issues are tackled.
- Protection of whistle blowers.
- Performing monthly audits within our UK businesses to identify where workers may be sharing bank accounts, addresses or telephone numbers as this can be an indication of illegal or unethical behaviour.
Supplier adherence to our values and ethics
We adopt a zero tolerance policy on slavery and human trafficking. We request information from our suppliers and their approach to business, and all necessary documents for legal compliance. We also build long lasting business relationships with reputable suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors.
Effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking
In the financial year ending 31 December 2023, no concerns were raised in relation to modern slavery or human trafficking within our supply chain.
