2nd Line Engineer - 38k - Financial - Surrey (5 days on site) - URGENT!

My client are hiring for a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer, the focus is on delivering discreet IT support to end users with a commitment to prompt incident resolution. The tasks encompass handling incoming requests via telephone, email, and ticketing system while maintaining a discreet and effective approach. All pertinent user request information is meticulously documented, and expertise is leveraged as a subject matter expert in specific fields, with issues escalated when necessary.
Proficiency in diverse platforms, including workstations, servers, BYOD, MDM, O365, SaaS, on-prem applications, and Azure, is employed to administer and maintain the anonymous corporate estate. The responsibilities include hands-on fixes, system configurations, and the development of expertise in pre-defined platforms. The cultivation of a culture emphasizing clear communication, transparency, and timely resolution is a core aspect of the role.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Possession of a minimum of 3 years in a similar role within an SLA, CSAT, ITIL-driven environment
- Experience with desktop and server operating systems, O365, SaaS, MDM, and associated tools
- Understanding of Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, GPO, basic networking, and Virtualization (preferably VMware)
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledgeable about computing hardware and adept at out-of-the-box troubleshooting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical resources at all levels.
