2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer
My client in Shoreditch is currently looking for a solid 2nd/3rd Line Engineer to come on board on a permanent basis. The role will be to offer 2nd/3rd Line Support for Desktops and Laptop issues, including both Hardware and Software troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting Mac and Windows environments, DNS, DHCP, MS Office packages, Intune, and ITIL / Change Management processes. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Role requirements:
- Provide Level 2/3 support for desktop and laptop issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting
- Manage and troubleshoot Mac and Windows operating systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot basic DNS and DHCP
- Support and administer Microsoft Office 365 packages
- Utilise Microsoft Intune for end point device management and security
- Follow ITIL best practices for incidents, requests and change management
- Assist with the deployment and maintenance of desktop hardware and software
- Document and track issues using our service desk system (Freshworks)
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues
- Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a Level 2 desktop support role
- Strong knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems and troubleshooting
- Confident managing and organising Active directory and its objects
- Experience with DNS and DHCP configuration and management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
- Experience using ServiceDesk ticketing solutions
The is an onsite based role within the Shoreditch office and is offering a salary of £35k.
