Roc`s Local Government client in West London who is urgently seeking a Data Engineer to work alongside their Power BI Developer. This will be a 3-6 month to start ASAP.
The skilled Data Engineer will support the development of our clients new data platform within the Microsoft Fabric/Azure ecosystem. This is a short-term role ideal for an experienced data professional with a strong background in data modelling, data warehousing, and Power BI integration.
IMMEDIATE START
36 hours a week, 5 days
£235-250 per day
1-2 days in the office a week
Interviews will take place this week over MS Teams
Essential Skills
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a Microsoft environment.
Strong knowledge of relational databases, data administration, and data modelling.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
Proficient in SQL and DAX.
Understanding of database design principles and data integration techniques.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver project outcomes.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience working within local government or the public sector.
Familiarity with ArcGIS mapping and spatial data integration.
Experience in project management or implementing IT/data solutions.
Passion for sustainability, data-driven efficiency, or public service innovation
