Head of Data

Location: London (Office-based, Monday-Friday, 5 days a week)
Reports to: CEO
Salary: £90,000 per annum

We are seeking a Head of Data to lead the data function at a leading provider of economic and financial data. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for sourcing, managing, and delivering high-quality data across multiple product areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Data function, overseeing senior department heads and ensuring operational excellence.

• Drive hands-on data sourcing, with expertise in UK data, derivatives, APIs, global funds, and fixed income.

• Act as a change agent, embedding new ways of working and supporting cultural transformation.

• Align data strategy with business goals, working closely with the CEO and senior leadership.

• Ensure timely delivery of accurate, high-quality data to clients.

Key Requirements

• The successful applicant must have previously worked for a data vendor (this is not an IT data specialist role).

• Proven hands-on data sourcing experience.

• Broad product knowledge across multiple financial instruments and data types.

• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing senior leaders.

• Track record of leading change in complex environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
