Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team on a 6-month contract. This role will play a key part in infrastructure modernisation, including server migrations, hypervisor platform management, and endpoint management across a hybrid environment. The successful candidate will also provide technical support and mentorship within the wider IT function.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Virtualisation
- Lead and support server migrations and upgrades
- Manage and support VMware and Nutanix hypervisor platforms
- Deliver and manage a hypervisor migration to Nutanix
Endpoint & Identity Management
- Administration and support of Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, and Entra ID
- Device provisioning and lifecycle management
Networking & Security
- Implement and support network segmentation concepts such as VLANs
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in hybrid cloud infrastructure and system administration
- Proven hands-on experience with VMware and Nutanix virtualisation technologies
- Solid background in Windows Server migrations and upgrades
- Experience implementing and maintaining network security
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, NCA, NCP, CCNA, or equivalent
- Previous experience in enterprise IT and hybrid cloud environments
Experience working within structured IT teams and change-controlled environments
