Management Accountant

📍 Reading | Full-Time | 6 Month FTC

💰 £30-40,000 per annum, pro rata (DOE)

Roc Search are currently looking to appoint a Management Accountant on a 6 month, fixed term contract basis, with the potential to become permanent. This role would be well suited to an individual that is perhaps looking to develop their skills within a dynamic and fast paced business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries to include:
    • Management accounts by geographical location, and business division
    • Month end audit & management pack
  • Prepare financial statements, together with supporting analysis.
  • Financial Administration, such as Accounts Payable, Bank reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Opportunities to support finance automation projects
  • Analyse financial performance by comparing current performance with budget and with prior periods
  • Manage Inter Company accounts, including invoicing of management charges
  • Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers
  • Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed
  • Support the finance team and business with other ad hoc tasks and reporting requirements
  • Financial data to non-financial managers

Required Skills:

  • A proven record of financial control and adherence to process
  • Strong experience in accounting package(s)
  • Intercompany Accounting
  • Proven track record, (ideally a min. 1 years' experience) in producing MI to deadline.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Comfortable with IT system based processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance members of staff
  • Being "hands on" is second nature to you
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and to deadlines
  • An understanding of the requirements of SMEs
  • Sage Intacct or recruitment industry experience would be a bonus.
