Are you a graduate or early career Mechatronics / Electronics Engineer with a passion for PCB design and embedded systems?
We're partnering with an engineering business with over 40 years of trading success, specialising in advanced automated inspection and precision machine systems. Based in Stevenage, they offer a condensed 4-day working week alongside genuine long-term career development.
This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute directly to real-world products in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering team.
What you'll be doing


  • Supporting electronics and PCB design for advanced automated systems

  • Assisting with schematic capture, layout input, prototype build and hardware testing

  • Working alongside mechanical and software engineers to deliver integrated systems

  • Supporting hardware validation, SAT and FAT testing

  • Troubleshooting electronics and contributing to continuous product improvement


What we're looking for


  • Degree in Mechatronics / Electronic / Electrical / Robotics Engineering or equivalent

  • Exposure to PCB design, embedded systems or hardware testing

  • Programming experience in C++ and/or Python

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux environments, Raspberry Pi and/or Android platforms

  • Understanding of computer hardware architecture and system integration

  • Awareness or experience of SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)

  • Practical, hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
