Infrastructure Engineer
My fantastic client in Farnborough is currently looking for a solid Infrastructure Engineer to come on board on a permanent basis. The role will be to provide Infrastructure support to the internal team as well as offering project support to some external customers.
This role requires the candidate to be either SC Cleared or eligible for SC Clearance and the ability to be onsite 4 days per week in Farnborough.
Responsibilities will be defined during induction and are likely to include:
- Maintain, improve, and secure the clients multi-classification, virtualised, collaboration and development environments.
- Work with IT infrastructure colleagues to improve the clients 'Secure by Design' capabilities, internally and across its projects.
- Provide Infrastructure support to the client's public cloud SaaS offerings (Office 365) as well as project-based systems (public, private and hybrid clouds) in implementation and support lifecycles.
- Assist with monitoring and management of the client and project-based ticketing and alerting systems for new changes and security alerts.
- Maintain monitoring components in line with infrastructure developments.
- Ensure all platforms are patched in line with provider recommendations and the client's security policy.
- Maintain cutting edge knowledge and skills in the design and build of secure public, private, and hybrid cloud and network technologies.
Essentials Key skills:
- Windows Server 2016+ administration.
- VMware vSphere/vCenter/VCF.Azure/Microsoft 365 administration.
- Linux (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu).
- EUD provisioning (Autopilot), maintenance, patching and hardening.SSO - concepts and operation.
- SC Clearance or Eligible for SC Clearance
This is a permanent role which requires you to be on site 4 days per week in Farnborough and for you to be either SC Cleared or eligible for SC Clearance. The salary for this role is £50-55k per annum.
