Required Skills

* Proven recent hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or closely related Azure analytics stack.

* Strong engineering expertise in Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, and SQL optimization.

* Experience building end-to-end data pipelines (ingest, transform, serve) utilizing services such as Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse storage concepts (OneLake/ADLS), Synapse, Azure SQL, or Databricks.

* Professional Git workflow including PRs, branching, code reviews, and modular, maintainable coding practices.

* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of translating ambiguous requirements into clear technical deliverables.

* Experience working with third-party vendors to ensure code quality and foster productive collaborations.

* Familiarity with security protocols, data governance, and quality assurance processes.

Nice to Have Skills

* Power BI expertise, especially semantic models and performance tuning within Fabric.

* CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; Infrastructure as Code with Bicep or Terraform.

* Streaming and near real-time data processing using Structured Streaming.

* Data modeling techniques (dimensional modeling, lakehouse patterns) and data governance concepts.

* Knowledge of DBT or similar data transformation frameworks.

Preferred Education and Experience

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

* At least 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, with demonstrable recent work on Microsoft Fabric or equivalent Azure data platforms.
