CMM Operator

We're currently looking for an experienced CMM Operator to join our team on a contract basis, working with Hexagon CMMs. This position is outside IR35 and focused solely on CMM operation-no programming required.

Rate: 25ph
IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Hexagon Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect complex aerospace components

Use PC-DMIS to run existing programs and perform part inspections

Read and interpret technical drawings, applying GD&T principles to verify tolerances

Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections

Record accurate measurement data and escalate non-conformances as needed

Collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure high standards are met

Requirements:

2+ years of experience operating Hexagon CMMs in an aerospace or precision engineering environment

Strong understanding of GD&T and quality inspection methods

Familiarity with PC-DMIS software (basic use, not programming)

Ability to work independently and consistently to tight tolerances
