We are working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy looking to appoint both a Structural Engineer and a Ground Engineer. These roles offer the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects across the commercial, residential, and public sectors within a collaborative and growing team.

Senior / Principal Structural Engineer

The Role

  • Design and detailing of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures
  • Structural alterations, refurbishments, retaining walls, and basements
  • Assessing existing structures for condition, suitability, and reuse
  • Coordinating designs with architectural and M&E layouts
  • Preparing and reviewing structural reports, assessments, and surveys
  • Ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and British Standards
  • Supporting fee proposals and tender submissions
  • Attending site visits, inspections, and client meetings

Senior / Principal Ground Engineer

The Role

  • Design of geo-structural solutions including soil nails, rock anchors, sheet piles, secant piles, and foundations
  • Temporary works, earth retention, excavation support systems, and ground improvement schemes
  • Interpreting ground investigations and assessing geotechnical risk
  • Preparing Desk Studies, Interpretative Reports, and Geotechnical Design Reports
  • Ensuring compliance with EC7, CD622, Eurocodes, and British Standards
  • Supporting tender documentation and fee proposals
  • Attending site visits, inspections, and monitoring works

About You (Both Roles)

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (geotechnical modules for Ground role)
  • Ideally Chartered, or working towards
  • 3-5+ years' relevant design experience
  • Strong technical reporting and communication skills
  • Experience with industry-standard design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, MasterSeries, SCIA, Civil 3D, etc.)
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Committed to ongoing professional development
  • Full UK driving licence
