Senior Platform Engineer
GCP | Kubernetes | Terraform | CI/CD
Full Time | Hybrid / Remote
We're working with an innovative AI-focused software company looking to hire their first dedicated Platform Engineer to build and scale secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure environments.
This is a hands-on role focused on automating and securing multi-tenant Kubernetes environments running on GCP, supporting enterprise customers across highly regulated sectors including finance, healthcare, and defence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design. Build and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Helm
- Manage and optimise GKE/Kubernetes environments including tenant isolation, RBAC, autoscaling, and networking
- Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability
- Implement secure infrastructure practices including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and audit logging
- Support container build pipelines, image signing, and secure deployment processes
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable platform infrastructure
Required Experience
- Strong Kubernetes experience in production environments
- Deep GCP knowledge (IAM, VPCs, Cloud SQL, Cloud KMS, Workload Identity)
- Strong Terraform or Pulumi experience
- Docker and containerisation expertise
- CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation
- Experience working within secure or enterprise SaaS environments
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security best practices
Desirable Skills
- Multi-tenant platform environments
- Private or air-gapped deployments
- AWS or Azure exposure
- Observability tooling and distributed tracing
- Experience within regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or defence
- GPU/Kubernetes workload experience
