Contract: Initial 6-9 months, with the wider programme expected to run longer term

Overview

We are recruiting for a POS / EPOS Implementation Programme Lead to support a major retail transformation programme in Dublin.

The client is looking for someone with strong POS / EPOS implementation experience from a retail background.

This is a senior delivery role requiring strong governance, stakeholder management, technical understanding and the ability to operate in a complex retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale POS / EPOS implementation activity across a retail environment.
  • Manage delivery across manual POS and digital POS systems.
  • Work closely with technical teams, architects, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Challenge technical teams and suppliers where required, ensuring decisions are aligned to the business outcome.
  • Manage senior stakeholders, including C-suite sponsors and business leadership.
  • Own programme governance, delivery plans, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Manage vendors, internal delivery teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support budget tracking, financial governance and supplier management.
  • Drive delivery across complex, fast-paced implementation environments.
  • Ensure business change, store readiness and operational adoption are properly managed.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience leading POS / EPOS implementation programmes.
  • Strong retail background, ideally within a multi-site store environment.
  • Experience across both manual POS and digital POS systems.
  • Strong understanding of retail systems, store technology, payments, checkout, tills or self-checkout.
  • Ability to challenge technical teams, vendors and architects without needing to be hands-on technically.
  • Experience managing C-suite stakeholders and senior business sponsors.
  • Strong budget ownership and financial governance experience.
  • Track record delivering major change and technical transformation programmes.
  • Experience managing vendors, internal delivery teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong governance, risk management, dependency management and delivery control.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous retail transformation environment.
