EUC Engineer / Service Desk Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an experienced EUC Engineer to join a busy IT support team, providing high-quality end-user support across a Microsoft enterprise environment. This role is heavily focused on supporting users, managing endpoint devices, and maintaining core identity services.

Strong Active Directory experience is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for user administration, permissions management, group policy support, and ensuring secure, efficient access to IT services across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support to end users.

  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, including user creation, account management, security groups, organisational units, password resets and access permissions.

  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams and Office.

  • Manage Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices, troubleshooting operating system and application issues.

  • Provision, configure and deploy laptops and desktops using SCCM / MECM.

  • Enrol and manage corporate devices using Microsoft Intune.

  • Handle incidents, requests and changes through ServiceNow, ensuring SLA compliance.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues including laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations and peripherals.

  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, ensuring accounts, permissions and devices are configured correctly.

  • Escalate complex issues where appropriate while maintaining clear communication with users.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and technical procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience administering Active Directory (essential).

  • Experience managing users, security groups, permissions, organisational units and account lifecycle.

  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 support.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.

  • Hands-on experience with SCCM / MECM for device imaging and deployment.

  • Experience managing endpoints with Microsoft Intune.

  • Previous experience using ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platform.

  • Strong hardware troubleshooting skills across laptops, desktops and peripherals.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Experience working within a fast-paced enterprise IT support environment.
