Senior Production Test & Development Engineer | £45,000-£55,000 | East Staffordshire

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Production Test & Development Engineer to join an established manufacturing business in East Staffordshire.

This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone with 8+ years' experience in production test, manufacturing or development engineering, particularly within an electro-mechanical environment.

The role will involve:

• Developing and improving production test equipment, jigs, fixtures and test rigs
• Troubleshooting electrical, electronic and mechanical issues
• Supporting electro-mechanical assembly and production
• Developing test methods, procedures and documentation
• Supporting automation, data capture and test improvement
• Working closely with production, quality and engineering teams

Key skills & experience:

• 8+ years' experience in production test, test engineering, manufacturing or development engineering
• Strong electro-mechanical assembly experience
• Electrical, electronic and mechanical fault-finding
• Experience designing or modifying jigs, fixtures and test rigs
• Confident using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong practical and mechanical aptitude
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with test documentation, procedures and work instructions
• Exposure to automation, scripting or test sequencing would be advantageous

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
