Graduate Mechanical Engineer

We are recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering manufacturer, offering structured training and long-term career progression within a highly technical environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering graduate who wants to develop across design, manufacturing, production engineering and project delivery. You will gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, working alongside experienced engineers and supporting continuous improvement projects.

The Role:

• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Support mechanical design projects and engineering calculations
• Produce and maintain Bills of Materials and manufacturing data
• Provide technical support to internal teams including service and sales
• Support production engineering, quality investigations and root cause analysis
• Lead improvement projects as experience develops

Training & Development:

• Comprehensive introduction to products, processes and engineering systems
• Training on industry software including CAD packages and SAP
• Exposure across design, manufacturing and service functions
• Support towards professional engineering qualifications
• Clear development pathway towards Senior Engineer or Engineering Management roles

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
• Strong interest in mechanical and electrical engineering principles
• Some CAD/design experience (Creo, AutoCAD or similar desirable)
• Practical mindset with an interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering
• Any industrial placement, internship or project experience advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team

A driving licence is preferred due to the location of the site.
