Lead Process Engineer

We're working with a growing engineering consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Lead Process Engineer to their permanent team.

You'll work across a full range of projects, from concept and feasibility through to FEED, detailed design and delivery, supporting clients across energy, chemicals, oil & gas, manufacturing and low-carbon technologies.

The Role

You'll take technical ownership of process engineering scopes, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading process engineering scopes across multiple projects.
• Producing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, H&MBs and equipment specifications.
• Process equipment sizing and calculations.
• Supporting HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA and process safety studies.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and other disciplines.
• Supporting proposals and business development.
• Support, mentor and develop junior members of the process engineering team, sharing technical knowledge and providing guidance throughout project delivery.

Experience

• Chemical Engineering degree (or equivalent)
• Strong experience within a design consultancy, EPC/EPCM or process industry environment. Proven experience leading process engineering scopes, strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills are essential.
• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards chartership is desirable.
