EICA Engineer
Permanent | 37 hours per week | Midlands/ Hybrid
Salary: Circa £52K (DOE)
We're looking for an experienced EICA Engineer to join a team delivering projects across the UK water and wastewater sector.
The role covers Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation, from design and procurement through to testing, installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Produce electrical and instrumentation drawings, calculations, schedules and specifications.
Support MCC, LV switchgear, cabling, instrumentation and control system design.
Review supplier and subcontractor drawings and technical information.
Liaise with clients, suppliers and project teams.
Attend FATs, inspections, testing and commissioning.
Provide technical support during installation and site activities.
Assist with tenders, programmes and project delivery.
Ensure work meets quality and health & safety requirements.
About You
You'll ideally have:
Experience in an EICA, Electrical, Controls or C&I engineering role.
UK water/wastewater experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of BS7671 / 18th Edition.
Experience producing technical drawings, schedules and specifications.
Good understanding of electrical/control systems and instrumentation.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable: PLC programming, cable sizing software, Profibus/Ethernet TCP/IP, MCCs, process instrumentation, HV and commissioning experience.
Qualifications
Electrical/Controls engineering qualification such as BTEC, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent experience. Degree-level qualification is advantageous.
