Founding Account Executive (Cybersecurity)
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid or Remote Considered)
Stage: Seed
Reports to: CEO / Founder
Compensation: $110,000-$140,000 Base | $220,000-$280,000 OTE + Equity
What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle from first call to close.
- Work directly with founders to build the company's early go-to-market motion.
- Generate pipeline through outbound, inbound, and founder-led channels.
- Sell into CISOs, Security Engineers, DevSecOps, and IT leaders.
- Run discovery, demos, and proof-of-concept cycles.
- Help define pricing, packaging, and ideal customer profile.
- Shape messaging and positioning based on live customer feedback.
- Build repeatable sales processes from scratch.
- Maintain tight CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy.
What We're Looking For
- 2-6 years of closing experience in B2B SaaS, ideally cybersecurity or technical products.
- Proven ability to close deals and hit quota in early-stage or high-growth environments.
- Strong ability to sell consultatively to technical and security stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating with little structure and high ambiguity.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with bias toward action and ownership.
- Experience in Seed to Series A/B startups strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with modern sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
Nice to Have
- Experience selling cybersecurity products (CNAPP, SIEM, IAM, CSPM, EDR, MDR, DevSecOps).
- Exposure to early-stage "zero to one" sales environments.
- Familiarity with MEDDICC or Challenger methodologies.
- Technical fluency or ability to quickly understand complex products.
