Founding Account Executive (Cybersecurity)

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid or Remote Considered)
Stage: Seed
Reports to: CEO / Founder
Compensation: $110,000-$140,000 Base | $220,000-$280,000 OTE + Equity

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle from first call to close.
  • Work directly with founders to build the company's early go-to-market motion.
  • Generate pipeline through outbound, inbound, and founder-led channels.
  • Sell into CISOs, Security Engineers, DevSecOps, and IT leaders.
  • Run discovery, demos, and proof-of-concept cycles.
  • Help define pricing, packaging, and ideal customer profile.
  • Shape messaging and positioning based on live customer feedback.
  • Build repeatable sales processes from scratch.
  • Maintain tight CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-6 years of closing experience in B2B SaaS, ideally cybersecurity or technical products.
  • Proven ability to close deals and hit quota in early-stage or high-growth environments.
  • Strong ability to sell consultatively to technical and security stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating with little structure and high ambiguity.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with bias toward action and ownership.
  • Experience in Seed to Series A/B startups strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling cybersecurity products (CNAPP, SIEM, IAM, CSPM, EDR, MDR, DevSecOps).
  • Exposure to early-stage "zero to one" sales environments.
  • Familiarity with MEDDICC or Challenger methodologies.
  • Technical fluency or ability to quickly understand complex products.

Compensation & Benefits
