Founding Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Stage: Series A
Reports to: CEO / Head of Sales
What You'll Do
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation through outbound prospecting.
- Identify and target ideal customer profiles across mid-market and enterprise accounts.
- Execute multi-channel outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other creative channels.
- Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities and schedule meetings for Account Executives and founders.
- Partner closely with Marketing and Product to refine messaging and positioning.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline activity.
- Experiment with new prospecting approaches and help establish repeatable outbound processes.
- Gather market feedback and share customer insights with leadership.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of SDR, BDR, or sales experience in B2B SaaS or technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated with a desire to learn and grow into a closing role.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A growth mindset and willingness to test, iterate, and improve.
- Experience using modern sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Gong is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience at a Seed to Series B startup.
- Familiarity with outbound sales methodologies and account-based prospecting.
- Experience selling technical, AI, or developer-focused products.
- Demonstrated success exceeding activity or pipeline goals.
